As a hub of innovation, collaboration, and support, it drives a variety of projects designed to create sustainable support systems that provide lasting impact, particularly in the realm of well-being education. Our Mission is to empower people with the skills to live and lead well. The Well-being Initiative Pty. (Ltd) consist of four key branches, mobolised to bring about change on a micro level within a specific ecosystem. This include: SATWI – The South African Teacher Well-being Initiative, The Teacher Coach, Teachers Matter, and Well-being Matters. Each branch contributes uniquely to the overarching goal of raising awareness around well-being through education. Personal and professional growth using scientific frameworks through education remains our primary objective at The Well-being Initiative.

Established in 2023 as a trailblazing independent entity, the South African Teacher Well-being Initiative (SATWI) reimagines educator well-being as a cornerstone of societal progress. Registered as a separate company and pursuing SAQA accreditation as a Professional Body and custodian of Teacher Well-being in South Africa, SATWI empowers teachers with innovative resources, advocacy, and professional development to foster resilience, balance, and unparalleled professional vitality.

The Well-being Initiative (2024/614102/07) and SATWI (2024/570100/07), solely founded by Erika Engelbrecht-Aldworth, the sole director as registered with the CIPC, reserve all rights under South African law; all published content is copyrighted, and any false claims of founder status by third parties are misleading and may face legal action.
